I'm not 250 expert but if it's local then go check it out. See if he has all the records of maintenance he has done. How many is " less than 10k? " Obviously you want your girlfriend to be safe first and foremost.

 

Sounds pretty good to me, but I am not a 250 guy either, post it in the 250 section.

i'd say its worth it for 1500 if tis in perfect shape - and depending on the median price in your area. hard to find much that is ridable bellow 2000 in my area

 

Doesn't seem to be a bad deal. I would go chek it out in person. See if the chain is clean, lubed, and tight that will give you an idea of how well it was maintenced. I change my oil every 3k and lube the chain around every 600 miles. But i don't keep any records of it but I know it's been done.

The big thing is see if he has had the valves adjusted there should be some record of that.
