ZRX1200R starting problems
Hi,
I have a 2003 ZRX1200R and one day it starts and the next it does not. When it does not want to start. I have no power going to the starter motor after the starting relay. I have replaced the relay and made numerous electrical checks, sarter switch OK, kill switch OK etc.. but to not avail. Sometimes it takes weeks before it starts again. It started today and run great but I stopped it and it would not make a noise again, nothing at all. Can someone help please.

Hi JC, I hope you've already solved your issues. Let me know what your solution was if you have! Otherwise, here's what I've been working with:
I have the same bike, and I've been having similar issues with it not starting as well. My starter relay will click, but the motor will not turn and the bike will not start. I spent four hours today troubleshooting, and in my search after I had given up for the day, I came across this video,
. He has similar issues to both of us with his bike, and he was able to fix it by readjusting the loose lug nuts on the starter motor's relay connection.
I'll be giving that solution a shot tomorrow. Hopefully it works.
Will update.
Best,
RNB

it was the clutch switch that was dead. If you press the clutch and try to start the bike and if it starts, then the problem is the clutch switch. Try it. You probably don't have to change the clutch switch, you just have to press the clutch lever every time you want to start the bike. I changed the switch because it costs nothing, just a few bucks.
