Howdy Y'all......New here so sure I will get shouted at for asking the same questions as all newbies....

I just got home with a 2003 KX 125 for my son for Christmas.....Bike is pretty sound and quite well looked after. He's 16 in Jan BTW.

I have NO experience with modern liquid cooled 2 Strokes. My last bike was an IT 175 like a billion years ago.

I'm sure this 125 needs a few things doing.....they always do Eh?

I'm going to try and get it in for a check-over with someone who know what they are doing but first things I notice are really quite oily from the exhaust tip and front fork moisture.

The motor runs fine and starts first or second kick. Little ticky from the top end but noting concerning. Shifts well and stops good even though there is oil on the rotor/disk from the fork weeping fluid.

I got a good deal with all sorts of gear thrown in so am quite happy......The lad should be pumped Xmas day........Thanks in advance for any guidance or suggestions you have.
