starting with a csx r?

I was wondering if a gsxr 600 was a ok bike to start with i'm just not sure if its noob friendly

depends on the year i guess.... but in any case not really.... the older gixxers are alittle more forgiving then the newer ones....

A smaller bike like a 250 or 500 will always be more noob friendly as they are more forgiving of mistakes than a 600 sportbike. Other bikes that are more friendly would be the new ninja 650 or and SV650. Even a gsr that was a couple years old would be better to start out on than a brand new 600. But as i said B4 I started out on my current bike earlier this year and it has been great. just need to watch your a$$ on it as it WILL show you who is really boss from time to time.

umm how old do you count old i saw a 2000 mayeb a 01 for $4000
i can only spend about 4gs at the most so the new 650s kinda out

thats about right maybe even a couple years older. also might want to check out a used SV650 I hear they hold they're value really well so you could sell it in a couple years and not lose much money when you're ready to trade up.
