Spark plug

Spark plug
Hi guys,
I've got a 2006 kx250 and I am shortly about to compete in an enduro event on it.
which spark plug would be the best one to run it on? Manual says a BR8EIX but that's for mx, so thinking maybe a BR9EG for an enduro event?
what's your thoughts?
Thanks!

I would run the same plug, for sure not a colder one. The MX bike is going to be run hard and probably would run a bit hotter, but really not enough for you to change to a hotter plug either. Run what you have.
If you want to be sure, what does your plug look like. It should be a chocolate powder brown, like Nestle's Quick. If it is white or lighter tan you need to check your jetting and probably run a range colder, if it is blackish sooty you may want a range hotter.
If your jetting is all goood then you need to realize all the heat range does is make the actual plug run hotter or colder. If it doesn't burn off the deposits you need a hotter plug. If it burns too hot it will melt the electrode. Have a shop show you two plugs a 6 and a 9 look at the porcelain in the end. The 6 will be deep into the metal casing before it contacts the casing to conduct heat, making it run hotter. The 9 will be relatively shallow, touching the casing and being able to dissipate heat quicker, making it run cooler.
