Default Sherlock Holmes here.

Just bought a 1973 model K-11 dual sport. Runs great, but needs a new headlamp. My only lead is an ebay seller, who I don't trust. Otherwise, dead ends everywhere. Playing Sherlock Holmes here. Any leads or advice would be appreciated.

I'm guessing on a bike that age, probably a sealed beam? On my old Husky, I got a sealed beam replacement unit at Tractor Supply. Same dimension as for a tractor replacement lamp. Works great and cheap! Do you need the lamp cowl as well?

Hey, thanks for the advice. Yes, it is a sealed beam. The diameter is five inches. Fortunately, I don't need the cowling. It's six volts, which has been the problem.

Good call on the tractor supply. I was able to obtain GE replacement bulbs for my 55 fairlane easily enough at a bulb store. Around $8 or so.
