I have a 02 zx-6e. It was stolen and i got it back but i got it running and it has a clicking sound maybe light knocking on the right side of the bike. The gears also dont change into second or any of the other higher gears either. Just first and neutral. So any thoughts or comments on what is wrong with it would be great. THANKS!!!

 

Welcome to KF. Since you do not have the tools to check, I would hand it over to your skilled mechanic for testing and evaluation. However, change the oil and make sure that the level is correct. Check cable adjustments and see if that helps any. (since you did not mention that it may have been wrecked) Good luck.

 

Welcome to the forums. When you say it wont' shift into second or any other higher gears, is that as you are riding it and trying to get it to shift, or sitting in the driveway? Oh....wait I read your post again and I just realized that you had the bike before, so you know how it works. Hmmm not sure on the shifting then, but someone on here will help out soon.
