Ontario Canada now on Kawasaki Forums
I'm new to the site. Was just looking for some info so I decided to register. I had a 2001 ZX6-R that was mint. Sold it cause I Finished restoring my old 87 Yamaha Fazer. Two weeks after selling it, while leaving my buddies house that I sold the Kawi to, I letit go and heard afunny noise. I ended up bending the output shaft and taking out the bearing. I found a replacement Fazer a couple months later and rode it the rest of last year. I loved the ZX6R and figured I would buy another one someday. That day is going to happen this coming Thursday. I have one more payment and the bike comes home with me. Its an 03 ZX6RR. It was in an accident and written off. I figure it will cost about $600 in total and it could have been back on the road. Its branded so it is my new drag project. I ran 11.18 on my 01 ZX6R having only an M4 slip on for mods. I plan on lowering the new bike as well as lengthening the swingarm. Exhaust, Power Commander, the usual hop ups. Im going to race it like this for a year then probably upgrade the power with some Nitrous. My goal is to run consistant mid 10's this year then maybe dip into the 9's with some squeeze over the next couple years. We'll see how it progresses. I have been behind the lens shooting drag racing for the past 10 years so it will be exciting to get back out. I will be posting pics and letting everyone know how the project is coming along.
