Just signed up today. Good forum from some of the threads I've looked at. I recently (kinda) got a Blue 05 636. Got it at the end of Sept. Haven't rode very much because of weather and school but its been fun riding with the limited time I've had. Already put some stuff on: Puid double buble (smoke), Euro amber lights (front), matching rear seat cover, Leo Vince SBK slip on exhaust, and my vortex frame sliders and progrip (clear) tank pad are coming in tomorrow. Had a question on the PC (power controller??) for slip on exhausts. Don't kno much about it and not sure if i really need it or not. thanks

hey welcome to the forum.... congrats on the new bike.... the only time you would use the PC, is if the bike is giving you problems... lioke if the bike is running to rich or lean, back fires, or hard starts, stuff like that.... if your bike run fine with ouy it, then you pretty much don't need it.... well if you want to really inhance the power of the bike then it's something to think about... gear up and ride safe...

First, welcome to the asylum. Second, don't worry about a power commander if you are only getting a slip on. No need for it. When and if you go to a full system, then you may want one. Makes it easier to get the fuel mixture right. Just one downfall of the power commander from 2 or 3 people who have them. Your gas mileage goes to hell. A buddy had one on a Honda XX and he lost about 6 miles per gallon.
