No more Hondas for me... :)
Coming from a long line of Hondas, starting from my '91 intergra, to an '02 accord, to a '95 CBR, I've been a fan of them forever. However, I've decided to get a 2004 Kawasaki ZX6R 636 recently just to try something new. I looove it. The low end power is amazing compared to my CBR. The lime green is an added plus. Paid $4000 incl. taxes (This is in the Bay Area summer time so prices are uusally ~$800-1000 inflated). Sadly it has a salvage title from a lowside at like 10mph. All original plastics intact and theres only two scratches on one side. No cracks or anything! So i think I got a great deal , i had to ride for like 2 hrs on the highway to bring her home though

Welcome to the other side
10mph low side should not total a bike, hell I have had a couple 50+ get offs that did not total mine.
Either way glad you are enjoying the new ninja

There was damage to the metal engine casing too, the thing that sticks out on one side. Those in OEM probably cost a good amount. Additonally, the handle bars, exhaust system, must have been damaged too since the original owner put in a new full Two Brothers system, replaced the engine casing, new gold adonized handle bars. I think that the view of the insurance company is that if it has a scratch on it, it needs to be replaced... From that viewpiont, I can easily see it becoming salvaged...
My '95 CBR F3 got salvaged from a 0mph drop when some car knocked into it. Only the fairings were damaged but there was like a $6000 estimated repair cost haha
