New Vulcan 900
Hi all,
New rider/owner of a Vulcan 900 Classic. My girlfriend also got a Honda Shadow 750 the same day. We've had our bikes all of 2 days and have put 374 miles on them here in Central California along the highways and hills. I have to say, I am in love with this beauty. We took the MSF course just a little over a month ago, looked at and sat on a lot of bikes... I almost went with a vStar 1100, but the dealer here in town also had a couple of 900 Vulcans - a classic and a custom... I sat on them both, looked at them a thousand times from every angle, read up on them, and decided on the classic - I liked the look of the classic more than the custom, but both are very cool.
We're new to biking, but absolutely love it and look forward to every opportunity! Day 1, after bringing them home the night before, 178 miles just my girlfriend and me. Day 2, 190 miles around town and to the hills again, but with a local riding group this time - what blast!!!
I did lurk around here, picking up some tips and reading comments about the 900 - so thanks to those here who post helpful comments!

Thanks everyone! I'll try and post some pics soon - holy cow, we've put over 500 miles on them since Saturday... coming up on the 600-mile first maintenance fast!
I recommend the MSF course to anyone I talk to who is thinking about getting a motorcycle, I know it helped us tremendously with confidence, safety, basic skills we've been practicing, and being able to enjoy the bikes more since some of the basic stuff was "engrained" into us during the course.
