Good morning Ladies and Gents,
Thanks for the add!
Little about myself. I have been around cars my entire life, rebuilding, modifying, upgrading. I cut my teeth on a 73 BMW 2002tii swaping out a 2.0l for a 3.0csl twin turbo, then a 55 Bel Air Wagon, 37 Ford Sedan Delivery and now a 72 Chevelle 454 being built for real track use (not drag)
My first bike was a '80s Honda 125 Enduro, second was a '78 KZ250, Third was a 06 CBR 600f4i and now my current is a 82 XZ550 Vision. Out of all the ones I have ridden and owned the Vision is the most comfortable. Oh and my other project bike is a 82 CB 750 that I am giving it a face lift (R6 front end swap)
Thanks for the add!

G'day, a mate of mine had the XZ550 (your vision) in Australia. I called it the flexi flyer, went well but over 160 kmh would get up a weave and the frame was known to be a bit flexible. My mate who owned it was a lot taller than me and didn't notice the weave, so I sat back further on the bike and that fixed the weave. Good luck with it.

Thanks guys! I did notice that the Vision wasn't very popular in the states here but across the pond it was a big hit. I havnt noticed any flex yet then again it hasn't gotten out of the garage due to the carbs sitting on my work bench waiting rebuild kits from China/Japan
My wife said I am a glutton for punishment when it comes to odd engine arrangements and this one is odd.

Both are similar in style. For some reason I like the old styling of the bikes in that eara. My brother was visiting your neck of the woods a few years ago and mentioned how many are still left. It's like any old car they don't last or stay around forever

That would be cool. It took me a few years till I found one that was both in my range and style I was looking for. I had my eyes on a kz440 for tooling around town and hopping the border south but he wanted way too much for a non running and no title. Here is next to impossible to get a lost one (Wisconsin) dmv said up to 5 years on a bonded title wait list. I said nope and bought the vision a week later.
