How do you like the Shinko's? I run the 009 Raven Shinko's. Excellent wear. I think they're tough to beat for commuting and general purpose riding.

I'll make sure to let my dad know that . I guess it's just personal preference though lol.
The Shinkos are a very good tire for the price. A friend of mine (the custom GSX-R 750 guy) had a GSX-R 600 with Michilin Pro Pilots on it, and I would prefer my Shinkos. Great grip for a basic ride and can still hold up to taking twisties at higher speeds. My main use for the bike is riding around town, so I have no track experience. The main thing is that they can hold up to my ride, so that's all that matters I suppose.
Before I ordered these ones, I looked at the 009s. How do they hold up? I actually thought about them when doing research and only went with 005 because of finacial limitations.

I think you'll love 'em. Darn good tire for the money. They seem to get better the more you ride them
