New member from New York - Kawaski Tengai
Hello everyone,
Just purchased a KL650 Tengai after many years of not riding (over 20 years since I got on a bike).
A few questions: the previous owner did not have the key for the gas cap (the ignition key does not work on the gas cap), what are my options? Just pull the tank and bring to locksmith or to a bike shop? I've seen full ignition/gas cap/ helmet lock kits on the internet (from the UK), has anyone ordered from them?
I need a new front hub, would it be cheaper to get a used front rim?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
John C.

hi John,
Congrates on the bike. I would say to get the kit..ie ignition, gascap, helmet lock. It sounds like someone replaced the ignition and not the rest. I am assuming the helmet lock does not have a key either.
I am not sure on prices of new versus used front hubs but if you can get a used one in good shape, I would go that route.
Good luck and get out there and ride
