New kid on the block
My name's Alex, but a lot of people call me 'Al' for short. I'm 15 years old coming up to 16 in Nov, i'm in secondary/high school and I am going to either join the police force or the army (depending on how things turn out). I will start training with the police cadets either in September or November, and from then on it should be a great time! I'm just beginning to start bodybuilding and take martial arts classes (mainly self-defence but kickboxing too!), this is a life-long skill to have and is good in everyday life let alone for joining the police/army.
Since I was 13 I have had a Dancat 110 quad-bike, and I still have it today. Top speed 38mph, 3 gears, safe bike and it's been good fun. Now i'm ready for the real man's sport, motocross. After months of looking for an affordable but good bike we've finally just bought a Kawasaki KX125 '96. Will ride it for the first time on Sunday and then things start from there and eventually I will start racing. Some may laugh that it's a 1996 model but a KX125 '96 can quite easily beat a KX250-500+ '06/'07 with the right settings, track and rider. I can't wait to start!
See you around

Welcome!
I have an ignorant question. Do people in England use Miles Per Hour as we do in the states, or do you use Kilometers Per Hour? Just noticed you were saying your bike topped out at 38mph, but thought the UK used kph. Sorry if this sounds stupid.

We use mph (Miles per hour), you do occassionaly see the odd person (1 in 50 maybe) who prefers kilometers per hour but no it's mph here too!

Welcome Al. Good to see there's still 125 riders around. You'll have a blast on it for sure. Don't worry about it being a 96, heck I always had an older bike than everyone else at the track for a long time. It's all in the rider......[sm=icon_rock.gif]
