New KDX 125 SR owner
Hi to All,
I'm new at the Kawasaki forum. I'm 50 years old and living in Belgium.
Originally we are from the Netherlands, but work brings us around the world.
I've recently purchased a Kawasaki KDX 125 SR from 1990. It just started as a project to keep us a bit busy in shed.
We love motor bikes.
The KDX was bought in quit a horrible state. The engine is probably the biggest challenge, but we are not afraid to give it a try.
It is mainly the crank shaft that is keeping me busy at the moment. Visually it is wrecked (a lot of pitting corrosion on it) with a big end bearing that feels not to healthy.
I'm just wondering, since an OEM replacement seems very difficult to get, if I can use later model KX series crank shaft. Does any one knows or has experience ?
Thanks a lot for heaving me here, I hope I can find the information I'm looking for and can even add some knowledge I have from over 30 years of biking on- and off road
