New(ish) KLX rider
Good afternoon! I just thought I would drop by and say "Hi" after lurking for quite a while. I bought a 2009 KLX250SF new last summer after it had been sitting on the lot for a while. It was bought to show my husband that I was indeed serious when I said I was going to get my own motorcycle. Within about one month he and I had gone from thinking about bikes (he has previously owned a SV650 and I had only been on the back of a bike once) to owning a 2006 Triumph Thruxton and my KLX. I took my MSF class and started riding. Up until this month I have pretty much just rode with him on weekends. We live in Colorado so good roads are aplenty.
So...A little bit more about me:
1. What is your first name (or middle name)? Rachel
2. When's your birthday (year if you want to include it)? February 11
3. What do you do for a living? Structural engineer
4. Married or Single? Married. What is kind of funny is that the man I ended up marrying I met on a forum for Subarus. Specifically, he and I both owned WRXs. It seems fun things with engines may be a trend in our family.
5. Favorite ice cream? Strawberry
6. Coffee or tea? Both, although coffee is the one I depend on most.
7. If you are old enough....what is your favorite "drink"? Hm, I enjoy almost any beer from New Belgium. I went to college in Fort Collins, so those beers will always be dear to my heart. Their new beer "Dig" is excellent.
8. What is your favorite color? Blue.
9. Who is your favorite band / favorite CD? Jimmy Buffet.
10. What is your favorite movie? I don't really have a favorite, but my recent "favorites" have been all of the superhero movies.
11. What is your favorite TV show? Top Gear UK (see the trend?)
12. Any pets, if yes, what? A 70 lap Blue Tick Coonhound named Abernathy Bartlet Josiah.
13. What other hobbies are you into? Well, for the second year my husband is racing in the 24 Hours of Lemons race held here in Colorado. Because I am very short compared to the rest of the team I am unable to drive the car, but I get a kick out of being "team mom". I also have a bunch of girly hobbies that aren't all that interesting.

15. Who or what inspired you to ride? My husband
16. How long have you been riding? Since last summer.
