Default new here

Justed wanted to drop in and say hi. Ihave been riding an eliminator 125 for three months , my first bike ever. I am now wanting to move up to a vulcan 500. The 125 is a great little bike but it looses some speed going up an incline. My husband and I just started riding at ages 49 and 47!! We are loving it and wonder why we waited so long. We both completed the msf course in August and are now fully licensed. Am wondering if the vulcan 500 is a good bike. And why the dealers don't have it in their showrooms???

Welcome!

Nothing wrong with stepping up to a 500 Vulcan. The reason many dealers wouldn't carry one is likely due to little demand of one. The unfortunate truth is many American buyers only look for the biggest and baddest bike out there. That leaves the more reasonable motorcycles on the back burner. I'm sure they would order one for you though.

Welcome to the forums. Pretty much so on what mark mentioned on inventory aspects.

Welcome to KF. I bought an Eliminator about 6 months ago, so my wife wouldn't be afraid of it. She outgrew it really quickly, so I bought her a Vulcan 500. She loves it. My local Kawi dealer only had 1 and I bought it, but they said they didn't sell too many of them. I'm sure any Kawi dealer would be more than happy to order one for you if it means they get a sale. Good luck with your purchase.

You're never too old to learn to ride. Age is no different than an IQ score; it's a theoretical construct based on relative functional performance on any given day. We're glad you've decided to get your endorsement, and join us here in the Forums. Welcome!

I'm glad you took the time to go through the MSF course... that's one less recommendation I have to make.
