Default New Guy with a problem

Just bought a used '03 kawasaki ninja 500 about a month ago. I took it on a trip from indianapolis to evansville and back (about four hours one way) and the bike ran beautifully. When I got home i parked it real fast and jumped in a car to get to work. When i returned home i tried to move it and it would not start at all. This morning i jumped on and it started no problem. however, once in the heat, i stopped at an intersection and it died. Now it will not start no matter what i do and i ended up having a friend with a truck come help me get it home. It seems the bikes ability start is effected by heat and when it does not start the ignition will not turn over. Is there anyone who has had this problem before and if so, how did you fix it?

as in no engine turn over and just clicking? or no firing?

Welcome to KF and congrats on the ride. Also remember that this ride is picky on how old its fuel is.

Won't fire. Turns over slow and doesn't fire. Battery was charged and initially even jumped, but it doesn't make a difference in ignition.
