Default new guy from Nor cal

Hey guys, I joined for some info before I buy a EX500 tomrrow with 35 K miles. Ive had many Kawis, started with a 250 Ninja at 14 then have owned 3 ZX6R's and now I own a 999 Ducati but still like my Kawi's as a commuter, any info would be great for the EX 500, this one has more miles than average as its a 2005 so by what the owner says they are the second and have had it 6 years and done all the regular maintenance to it. I was told these paralell twins are really quite and smooth and should not be making any noise really.

ah, there you are. I posted up a brief reply in the 500 section.

Welcome again!

I totally agree with that, they also are not speed demons and are not designed to be. As a commuter bike like you are needing, I think that they are a great light weight fuel efficient and fun ride. My 2005 EX 500 is my daily go to ride (in good weather that is).
