I don't get out much but finally made it here. I stay busy tinkering in the shop. I'm partial to the old stuff but I like them all, and not just the Kaw's but that's what I play with.
Looking forward to meeting new people with new ideas and learning new things.
Here is my latest project, still have some little things to finish to call it done such as jetting and mounting the crankcase breather but I have got to put a few miles on it.

Bike is 77 Ltd with 2009 ZX6R front end, wheels and brakes, I made the swingarm, rear sets, top tree, gauge holders along with quite a bit of other things. The gauges are Auto Meters Ultra Lite carbon fiber series, all the dash lights are l.e.d.s. The swingarm is a total bolt in conversion, not one weld on the frame.

Swingarm is a tick long for me, but very tastefully done!! Love the forks! Looks awesome for a classic ride; the longer I look at it, the more I like it!!

post up a pic looking down on the gauges, tank, seat. Good work. Converting the LTD to chain, upgrading the suspension and improving the brakes on the front in one swoop. You manufactured the top fork clamp because of??? the fork tube size? or because of the bars that you needed?

 

No baffle but it's getting it. I made the top tree to take the oldskool type handlebars and have a place to mount gauges. The forks are 09 ZX6 showa, 52mm lower tree diameter and 51mm upper tree diameter. I'm going to make a new lower tree with the brake splitter in it and Kawasaki engraved in it. This came chain drive so no change there and the single shock is a complete bolt in assembly, no welding or cutting on frame what so ever! That was the main purpose of going big with this build was to show my work. I just put cnc in my shop and have been building swingarms for over 20 yrs off and on. I can make the swingarm an 1" shorter but that's about it for the single shock setup. Twin shock arms can be shorter.

That really turned out great. I did a few adjustable triple clamps for track rides with my mill, but no CNC yet. so no engraving. Would have to ask the boss for the G job stuff if I needed cnc useage. Seriously though, that is one of my noms for bike of the month.
