All high performance 2-strokes have expansion chambers, expansion chambers are built to harness sound waves, to first suck the cylinder clean of spent gasses--and in the process, drawing fresh air/gas mixture into the chamber itself, and then stuff all the charge back into the cylinder. The diameters and length of head pipes, reversion cones, and stingers all play a role in power, power band and max rpm.

We hold the AMA Prostar DD/DHH record at 8.93@150mph. (Best run ever 8.903) We're heading to Atco NJ week after next for a Prostar National and hope to run some 8.80's.

Hey BigRig your avatar reminds me of my truck'in days. I sold my trucking company back in 1990. My personal truck was a 1984 359 Pete 127 inch hood double bunk with a 3408 Cat 6 and a 4 double overdrive with 3:70's. Those were the days.
