Default new to forum and some 6RR info please

Hey just joined while on a parts quest for a recent aquisition. I recently snapped up a 04 ZX600M1 (zx6RR) super low miles amd all prior maintainence records manuals keys etc. I got it from a guy who managed to toss it after approximately 5 hours and 71 miles of ownership. My primary intention was to make it mechanically sound again as a track day bike but I'm also interested in keeping it with 6RR parts. I know the frames were color specific but my question is what parts could I swap from an 03-04 6R or 636? right now I have a new OEM 600m1 frame (orig got tweeked) but I have no headlights, lighting, seatsor any body parts. 2nd owner took it to a local shop for a repair quote and they "forgot" to return some of his parts that they subsequently used on one of their mechanics bikes. Due to time passed and me not being their original customer I have no recourse to get back the parts that belong to the bike.
Right now my only serious concern is the forks. they appear to cycle up and down with out bind but one of the ears on the right fork that the fender bolts to got broke off. I can weld cast alum. just not sure I want to and most forks I see for sale are not the nitrided one specific to the 6RR. if the rest of the fork assembly is good would it be a good idea to just replace the lower leg (only way to get that ear fixed) or just use an easier to find 636 fork set off ebay?
Look forward to some good advice from the forums TIA,

Josh
