Hey what's up everybody, my name is chewy I own a 2012 250r. I bought it as my first bike in March to see if I would like it, I'm hooked. Look forward to getting to know everyone.

 

Congrats on the lil ninja. Take your time to get comfy with the new gal, get some gear lined out for the long haul especially since you are hooked with riding.

Agree with Drag^, (welcome, CHEWY!!) Since this is your first bike, gear is essential. At minimum, helmet, jacket--with armor, gloves, and some decent boots....even if they're ankle-high work boots. Resist the temptation to do silly things. ALWAYS look for your "escape road." Saddle time.....it's all about saddle time. Get to know your bike and treat it like your best friend.

Thanks for the advice. I'm using everything except the boots since I also use it as a DD (weather permitting)to commute to and from work. I wear high top shoes though.
