Default NC noob here

Hey guys my name is Derek i just purchased my first bike, a 01 vulcan 750. Just took it out today for the first drive on the highway, runs really good got alot of power but i did notice a engine tick after it warmed up. Is this normal for these bikes? I have read a few other people have had the same issue. I just want to make sure its not something serious. But anyway look forward to this forum and anyone from the eastern portion of NC, we should get together and ride sometime.

Welcome Derek from Deric (deej) I love that style of bikes. I still remember the Honda Shadow from the early 80's.

welcome to kf. Kawi's are known for noisy valve train so that might be what your hearing. Maybe have the valve's checked to make sure they are with in standards.

congrats on the ride and welcome to KF. Learn your ride and keep it maintained. That usually brings a comfort level when you know your ride. Enjoy
