Smile My New ZX10R

Hey Guys

Just put a deposit on a 2010 ZX-10R today. (black)
Even tho im still on my P's and have 6 months left till my full lic.

But for $14,000AUD (not registered), The price was just too great and i fell to tempation.
it will give me 6 months to work on it and get use to it all.

Im already thinking of getting a few things changed, eg Slip-On, frame sliders, raditor guard and a tail tidy just for starters.

I will post pictures once its in my hands...

Gear up, stay safe. Post up some pics when you get a chance.

Hey Guys.

NO its not my first bike, i have been riding for 15 months now (Suzuki GSX60FU), and done some riding course.

In Australia learners can only ride certain underpowered bikes.

So i'll get my full lic in 6 momths time....*YAY*

hahahaha, ok, I am awaiting the Rob response anytime.....
15 months of riding on a 60cc ride. Now graduating to 160+hp ride in only 15 months? My hat is off to you on your learning curve.

Welcome to the forums Chuckles... Please tell me that 1981 isn't the year you were born,,,because I will just cry. I'm tired of being old enough to be everyone's dad. LOL

In AUS learners have to start on a 250, depending on the state, then take a reasonably thorough test before moving to an intermediate bike. As the OP says, he's still got to ride the intermediate bike for another six months before he can ride the litre bike - about 2 years riding experience in total. For GSX60, read GSX600 - that looks like a typo.

It's not an ideal move with that level of experience, but if he's put the miles in he'll be OK. It isn't like the States where a complete novice could be riding the litre bike.

I've always defined 'experienced' as 3 years and 30,000 miles, but doing the last third of that on a litre bike isn't an issue as long as the first third is done on something small and the middle third on something in the middle.

Chukles - enjoy the bike once you're able to ride it. Just take it easy until you get used to it.

Rob
