HOW'S IT GOI'N TO ALL...NEW AUSSIE OLD BAG DIRT BIKE RIDER SUFFERING SEVERE MID LIFE CRISIS AND DIMENTIA AS MY OTHER HALF RECKONS, BUT AS THE FAMOUS MAXWELL SMART SAYS " AND LOVI'N IT"...WHAT CAN I SAY I LOVE MY KLX 250'07 MODEL,WITH A FEW MODS AND OPEN TO ANY IDEA'S TO IMPROVE IT FROM STANDARD SPECS TO GIVE IT A BIT OF MORE TORQUE AT BOTTOM END...

Welcome to the forums Tess. The KLX riders are taking over the forums, one bike at a time.
But seriously, glad you found us and does your other half ride as well? If not, one test ride on the KLX is all it will take. Install a 13 tooth on the front, maybe a 45 on the back, get the bike jetted and throw that air box lid away. Oh and get the Muzzy pipe for it, because as we all know MUZZY RULES!!!! OK I think I've had a little too much coffee this morning already.[8D] Check out my sig, ain't it awesome? Oh and I think I have adult ADD as well.

Thanks everyone for the welcome and big thank you to deej for the advice. Really appreciated. Yes, my other half did buy a Suzuki DRZ400 just before me (sorry, am I allowed to mention opposition)?..anyway, Short of becoming a weekend warrior'swidow I reckoned it was time that if I can't beat them..join 'em, which Is what I went & did!Still a long way to go with skill levels but as riding myKLX is equivalent to sitting in a lounge chair and very easy to handle, I know I definately made the right choice. Once again thankyou and I look forward to reading the forums & learning heaps along the way!!
