Default kz750 engine rebuild

Hello to all,
I have a 1980 Kawasaki 750 LTD H1. I drove this bike out of the showroom in Florida in April 1980. The bike is in great condition, has always been garaged and has 45,000 miles on it. The problem is low compression in the middle two cylinders and while it does run it is usually on 3 cylinders only. The engine is generally tired and hard starting. My plan is to rebuild the engine and maybe put in bigger pistons. Ever since I have owned the bike and reading bike magazines I have seen adds for Wiesco piston kits. Is this the way to go? In my first attempts at buying parts I have had little success in locating them. I'm not really sure where to start either. I'm thinking I will need a new cam chain, clutch among many other parts. The starter motor has trouble engaging also. All advice will be appreciated. thanks in advance
