Hey Folks, First post, new forum member here so forgive me if this has been covered - I simply couldn't find it.
I have recently bought a 2009 KLX250S in terrible condition that I'm restoring. Got a new pipe, bearings, fork seals, battery, sprockets, chain... (need I go on?)
The Airbox lid is some homemade plexi thing that is cracked so I thought I'd buy a new lid. I had read that the KDX220 lid and larger snorkel fits. It doesn't.
SO, can I buy an entire KDX220 airbox off ebay and just replace the KLX250 airbox with the KDX220?
OR... should I just return said lid, buy the KLX250 lid and just cut the snorkel hold larger to fit the KDX snorkel?

KDX snorkel fits without cutting, the holes are the same size. Get the KLX lid, fit the KDX snorkel and be done with it.
