jumping bike with another battery

Default jumping bike with another battery

Hello all im a first time bike owner so some stuff j say may sound stupid. Ive been reading alot of forums can anybody tell me if it can jump my bike battery with a car battery if car is not started. Can anybody tell me of all bikes are 12 volt electrical systems i have a 1980 ltd kz440 i bought it a couple weeks ago and rode it home ran great since then i havnt been able to start the bike all help will be appreciated.

About 50 years ago there were probably some 6 v bikes as were cars, but today's bikes are 12v and yes you can jump the bike from another battery or even a car, I've done it. Oh and welcome to the forums.
