Default I'm New

I was out looking at bikes when I came across the Ninja 500R, and was curious for a first bike, is this a good choice? does this bike have some power or not... I didn't have the chance too really ride but I was curious... I heard it was a good bike to start out with so I'll be further looking into it... It's an 2005 with 5000 miles, and also how long do these bikes last... Would this be an ok choice to have and I've heard a few good things about the Ninjas.... So any information would help... Thanks again

500s good, a 250 would be a better starter bike but if you can get the 500 for a good deal and have enough money for some desent gear, then hell with what you ride as long as you use a little caution and dont disrespect the powers of a street bike and use some common sence then do it.

Welcome to the forums! The 500 is a great bike! To answer your question about how long they last......mine is a 1994 and it has close to 19,000 miles on it - and it is still going strong. The key to how long a bike will last is in maintenance. If you keep on top of all the maintenance, it should last you a long time, provided that your not overly abusive to the bike.

WELCOME TO THE FORUM...... what evil nina said was right.... a 250 would be a better choice, but 500 for the price and with caution would be good too....
