I had a little poke around before posting and found the obligatory questionnaire so here it is:
1. What is your first name (or middle name)? Mick
2. When's your birthday (year if you want to include it)? September 3rd
3. What do you do for a living? Sparky come uni student come IT tech
4. Married or Single? married
5. Favorite ice cream? choc/caramel
6. Coffee or tea? coffee
7. If you are old enough....what is your favorite "drink"? Guinness (though I rarely drink any more)
8. What is your favorite color? black (I know it's a tone, but that's my answer)
9. Who is your favorite band / favorite CD? Chet Baker, Chuck Mangione
10. What is your favorite movie? Spaceballs
11. What is your favorite TV show? Dr Who or Top Gear (British of course)
12. Any pets, if yes, what? One cat
13. What other hobbies are you into? Volunteer fire fighter, also into computers for fun over profit
14. What was your first bike? 1993 Yammie DT175
15. Who or what inspired you to ride? broke my Repco ten speed pushie and was sick of peddling
16. How long have you been riding? ever since but been "between bikes" for the last ten years.
As for what I've owned, it's mostly small-middle weight roadies.

1981 Kwakka Z550G1
(unknown year) Kwakka KR250
1984 Suzzie GSX550EFE
1981 Kwakka Z550G1 (yes, another one)
Done seat time on a bunch of others but they weren't mine.
Currently eyeing off a new KLR650

Welcome, Mick! Glad to have you with us. Sounds like you have some experience on 2-wheels! Post some pics and jump in on the discussions; always glad to have fresh perspective on things.
Hmmmm, many years ago, there was a "Mick" from Down Under who won the 500GP's repeatedly; even when he lost some fingers and toes. Any relation?

I remember Doohan well, and Gardiner before him I'm afraid one-wheel power slides are not my forte, though. These days I'm more sedate than when I was in my twenties.
I look forward to posting scenic ride pix as I get them though.

(I DID get out a couple weekends ago before the snow hit SW Ohio. Temp was about 25, what I remember. What a great ride. I'm waiting on the ice to melt off the lower portion of the drive, and I'll be back out there.)
