It's harder to finance a $3000 250 r than it is to get a loan for a $20,000 car or a mortgage on a house for that matter. The world moves in mysterious ways.

Oh, and about the test ride thing. If most dealers don't let the buyers test them out then how can you really know which bike is really the bike for you? I mean, you can test a 30-50K car without having proof of ID, but you can't test a bike? That doesn't make any sense to me.
Its easier to crash a bike than a car. Also the salesman isnt going to ride on the back of the bike like a carsalesman rides in the passenger seat.

Whats the bike salesman going to say; "ok the gas is on the right, now peg it son, when u get to 120 if the hair on your arms starts tingling then its for u." lol.

Imagine doing liek 120 with a saleman groping you stomach yelling in your ear "your stomach feels great at this speed, i think u should buy it.!!" ahahahha

I don't know about you guys, but up here in the 'Great White North' a lot of the dealerships do a demo day, where you are allowed to test drive the bikes. I don't know about the rules and all that - never personally went to one.
