Hey from P-A
Long time rider, first time caller... I didn't save a nickel on car insurance by switching to GeezerCo, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn express last night. The riding in central PA exposes a rider to all the seasons and elements, which in my mind makes for a well rounded ground pilot.
I've a mechanical background, reasonably capable with a tool box, and recreational ride all types of 2 wheeled motorcycles. From a pull start centrifugal clutch hard tail Briggs and Stratton creation to modern liter sport bikes of the 200 mph club with everything in between.
Turning wrenches on basket case bikes are rewarding projects, having assembled, troubleshoot, repaint, repairing and riding a few dozen, "it'll never run agains" over the last 35 odd years. I certainly don't profess to know it all, but I can normally help out to some degree.
So that's me, a newbie at the clutch here, but plenty of dirt, hill climbs, and blurred pavement behind me on two wheels. I've fallen a couple times, a few hard, (broken femur @ age 15 on a '74 250cc), but I get back on and enjoy the ride as long as I can.
Impressive resource here... I'm glad to have found you.
EDIT - 131 views... hmmmm, then again, the resource is a good find. LOL
