Default Hey, Everyone

Just wanted to say hello to everyone. My name is Larry and my wife, Erin and I just bought our first Motorcycles. I got a '97 500 and she got a '94 250. The bad news is the only available MSF class isn't until the end of August, so we won't be riding until the first of September. I was riding in my neighborhood until I got yelled at by one of the neighbors, then I found out we're not allowed Motorcycles in our Condo Complex. I have my learners permit, but in the state of Michigan, you have to have to be in sight of a licensed rider to practice. Which I don't understand, how our they going to help you on the street? You can't hear them, the only thing they can do for you, is help pick up the bike if you drop it. So, anyways, I really can't even practice now.

I've already read alot of the posts on this site, and I wanted to join because of all the great info I have already received from the posts. Thanks for everyone that has shared. I really don't know what help I'm going to be for the group until I get more experience, but I'm sure that my learning curve will improve with the help of this forum.

I'm going to try to attach pictures of our bikes on this post, if it doesn't work, I've created a photo gallery, because I've already learned how much everyone wants pictures (see I have read alot already).

Thanks again,
Larry

Welcome Larry & Erin, Congrats on the new bikes. My hubby & I just passed our MSF this past weekend. I understand your feelings of not being able to ride, I got my bike back in April and the only class I was able to get into was the weekend that just passed. We are hitting the parking lots for more practice (well more me then him). Good luck in your class you will both do fine. It certainly was well worth the money. Be safe out there.

Nikki

Welcome to KF! Congrats on the bikes - real nice looking! Thanks for posting the pics!

Just remember, September isn't all that far away, and as long as the weather holds, you should get a couple of months of riding in.

Good luck on the course to both of you!

Thanks for the comment Bluebird. I fell in love with the bike when I first saw it, that's why I had to buy it. It's all paint except it's outlined in silver pinstrip. The guy I bought it from did it himself, he does art for a living. I don't know if you could tell from the photos, but he even added white leather to the seat to make the design flow.

Again thanks for the comment.

COME ON AUGUST!!!! I WANT TO RIDE!!!!

The seat definately makes it all flow! Glad to see that he paid attention to the little details, he definately did an amazing job on the bike. You'll be riding before you know it! I bought my bike in December of 2004, I wasn't able to take the safety course until the end of April 2005. And I've having a blast ever since!
