Hello from Sacramento!
Alrighty! As of today I am the new owner of an uber cute 2003 Kawasaki Ninja 250...yellow might I add. =^.^= SHE'S ADORABLE!!!! I've gone ahead and named her Momiji...Momo for short. It was meant to be, I swear! The previous owner's kitty they called Momo. My friend texted me that same night to invite me to Momo lounge. Then even later I go to a friend's myspace and one of his friend's nick is Momo. SEALED THE DEAL!
I had been reading horror stories about short people riding but with my hiking boots on I had no problem sitting on my bike and having my toes touch on both sides. Whew!
This weekend will be the hands-on training of our MSF course. I'm so excited to learn to ride finally! I'm more confident now just taking the class portion and being able to touch the ground with my toes. LOVE IT!
Looking forward to getting more info from the forum on being a bike owner and a safe rider. *thumbsup*

RE: Hello from Sacramento!
Welcome to the forums!
Glad to hear you're taking the MSF course.
ALWAYS do the following:
1. Wear a helmet
2. Be absolutely alert; think about an "escape route" in every situation
3. Don't allow other's stupidity to hook you; ride like you have something to lose
4. Maintain your new best friend religiously. One of the few relationships in life where you get from exactly what you put in.
5. Enjoy yourself!
Again, welcome.
