Default Hello and ?'s

Good day all, my name is Cooper i am originally from London but i now live in New Mexico. I am in the process of picking up i believe it to be a 1993 600. My question would be, how easy/cheap would it be to put a new engine into this frame? Would i be able to put in a newer engine or would i have to have the old one rebuilt?
I appreciate any response
Cheers
Cooper

[sm=welcomesign.gif] to the forums Cooper! As far as your question goes, not sure if different engine designs fit in a standard mount pattern. If you are looking for a newer type engine, why not find that bike? Alot will be affected with another motor, like the suspension and handling characteristics.

Honestly, I am not looking for a newer type engine, the '93 engine would be just fine with me for now. I just wanted to see if it would be worth it getting a newer engine or just to go ahead and get the current one rebuilt. All i know about the current engine is that it holds about 60 psi compression in each cylinder.
Anyway
Cheers
Cooper

Welcome to the forums Cooper! All that I can suggest is to compare prices in replacing the engine and repairing the one thats in it. Good luck!
