Question Hello From Cincinnati!

hello all!! Im looking at a new 09 ninja 250r. I like the price and definitely the looks. This wouldnt be my first bike. My first bike was an 87 ninja 500. Then i had an 03 shadow spirit 750. Then i had a 97 katana 750. I have only been riding for about 2 years, but i really like trying new bikes! Im 6'2 and 175lbs. I sat on one at the stealership yesterday and fell in love. Im just wondering if i spend 4800 bucks for a new one...is this bike going to be extremely useless to me since ive had bigger bikes? The kind of riding I do is in town riding and the good and fun 55mph country roads. If i get this bike, i feel like i will be able to ride it to its limits like its supposed to be and have fun doing it since its so nimble. Im really just looking for some honest opinions. I only have so much money, and i would really love a brand new bike....not to mention the insurance is cheap!

Depends on what kind of riding you want to do. If you're into the "any time, any weather, back roads" stuff, Deej may have a point on the KLX. If you're more of a sportbike guy and appearance of a new bike is more important than performance, the 250R may be a better choice. If you have an itchy right wrist, I'd save your pennies or shop for a very lightly used 600. I think the 250R might be a tad under-powered for you, given what bikes you've already had, as well as your size. IMHO

Oooops; sorry to be rude. Welcome to the forums. I'm just up I-71 from you. What part of the Queen City are you in?

Take Ron Reagan to I-71 North. Take exit 36 to the right. I'm about 5-6 miles and 4 turns. About 35-40 minutes from you.
Feel free to PM (in advance) for more specifics.
