i knoe it is about freakin time.........i'm gonna do a few little mods over the summer......decals perhaps, and some of that reflective tape or w/e on the rims. little stuff, hopefully the bike runs well all summer, i don't wanna hafta be fixing the dang thing. i gotta get my permit, send out for plates, etc. asap, which will prob be monday or tuesday. then i have the mfs june 2nd, and june 9th weekends.

That's freakin awesome!!!! You're gonna love the 500 - I know I love mine! I was just out on it last night, so I'm still grinning from ear to ear! What year are ya getting? What color is it? Don't forget to post some pics!

for sure, i wish i could of got in a may mfs, but june is alright with me. permit, this week, licenses, etc. then june will be here in no time and i can get my license.

hahaha, just got back an hour or two ago. me, rice, and walight. it was a good ol' ride, and the bike is in great condition. i rode it around the driveway little scared, haha, i guess i gotta get minimal parking lot practice in for a while. i wish the i could take the mfs course and be comfortable and done with it.

only way to get comfy is to go ride the damn thing, just go slow. have gr take you to a spot and show you a few things. ohh and wheres the pics ?

I'd leave it alone and save your money until you get used to the bike and riding..

well a homemade fender eliminator will cost like 20-30 bucks max, so that's the only mod i will do. just cause i hate that mudflap. oil change, air filter change before i ride harder. i rode up and down the driveway, it felt scary going like 5-8 mph, haha. i def need a lot of practice. walight and gotrice test rode it a little more, haha. they gave me good tips and pointers, hopefully i'll be riding with them in a couple weeks. waiting on my jacket in the mail. but in conclusion, all around a good ride, and def worth 3k. muzzy exhaust sounds nice. thanks again for the help in getting the bike rice and light

you can do a kick ass integrated tail light with the stock light, i forget the part numbers but you can make a bracket that puts the bulbs in your light and bam instant integrated light. youll be able to figure it out.

ricer said something about just getting the integrated taillight, instead of putting the blinkers on the fender eliminator........he said it's brighter and better than stock.

i kinda understand you, but i don't know what to get to do such a job? cheaper is better as long as it looks good. cause i'm getting close to strapped for cash, so cheaper is better....

let me put it to you this way, the metal i used in the lens itself was a soda can, the only thing i had to buy were the light bulbs, same wattage and plug but the glass area was smaller. remember, they didnt have all the crap back then that they have today.
