Default changing fork oil

Hi all, my dad has a Vulcan 500 and wants me to change his fork oil after I did mine on my 750. However, looking at the forks I don't see any obvious bleed valves. Is it located above the axle that passes through the bottom of the fork? Thanks.

Jeff

Look in the manual or even the fiche for that model. I cannot give you a definite answer.

His owners manual states nothing about them except in themaintenace chart and that it is a "dealer" performed service.

For example in my factory service manual on the 10r, the leg has to be removed in order to change the oil.

The "owners manual" will not likely have any info on changing the fork oil. You need either an aftermarket service manual, or the factory service manual. As dragone said, you could go to Kawasaki's website, or www.bikebandit.com and look at their parts micro fiche diagrams to get an idea where the drain hole may be.
