Hey Chuck! (Did you used to work for Converse?) Seriously, welcome to the forums. I'm a Midwest rider. Take your time getting to know your bike, and never ride beyond your skills; don't get sucked in by the "fast guys" with something to prove and nothing to lose. There are enough hazards out there without a personal judgement lapse and resulting injury. I've seen it too many times...
