i just bought a new 700 prairie atv 4x4 and soon as i got it home it started smokeing and useing oil and smelled of antifreeze i got 3 miles on it and i had to take it back to the shop and they looked at it and said it was fine but now at 500 miles its useing 3 quarts of oil every 10 to 15 miles and smokeing bad and now the dealer dont want to fix it and its got a warranty untill 2011 and they dont want to fix it and i think this is bull

 

welcome to KF. thats bs try calling kawasaki and complaining that the dealer is messing with you. good luck how ever it turns out.

 

Welcome stoney, heck yes raise some serious questions to Kawasaki or better yet find a better dealership.

An upside down piston ring can/has caused that oil problem before in other rigs. With no evident signs of oil leaks that are visible.
