Hello everyone! I purchased a 2018 KLX250 new last year, and was wondering why it wants to stall at stops before I take off??? I will be sitting idol, and I will give it some gas and will shut off. I sent it to the dealer a couple months ago, but they can't seem to want to give me an explanation. It has become so frustrating, I may just want to sell it and get something different. Any thoughts? Did you buy it new or used? Any modifications?

 

I purchased it brand new. Zero modifications.

 

I assume your warranty goes into effect at your time of purchase even though it is a 2018 model. If under warranty, I would take it back to the dealership and tell them the same problem is persisting. If you don't find they are helping you take it to another dealer. Not all service departments are created equal, some are better than others.

Hi - was out for a long ride the other day with my 2018 KLX 250 and the bike would stall whenever I'd come to a stop. It would then only start while I gave it some throttle. What would be causing this?

 

​​​​​Unfortunately Now are two of us this is happening too.. Anyone have any idea what's causing this? I did turn the idle up to see if that makes a difference...?
