Default 2005 Kawasaki Mule 3010 trans4x4

My Mule engine caught fire and burned some rubber and plastic items. I’m trying to replace the drive converter cover, but can’t seem to get the spider and sheave off the crank shaft. I removed the shaft bolt and various stuff, and am at the sheave/drive shaft. Does the spider turn clockwise or counterclockwise to come off the sheave. I’ve used rope in the piston cylinder to hold the crank shaft in place, but can’t get the spider to turn either way to get it loose. Any suggestions? Thanks.
