Asking on behalf of my fiancé. He has a brand new 2022 kx85 and blew it up a week after getting it. Needless to say he fixed it just this past week it wouldn’t start for anything after replacing the piston, jug, new spark plug the whole rebuild. Went through all the forums we could put some oil in the top of the piston and still would not start just backfire. They decided to to hook a drill and socket up to the flywheel and spin it, after a minute it actually started and will run, it wants to die at times but still the thing will not start without the drill concoction. Any idea what’s going on? They’ve checked the reeds, did a compression test which is somehow only getting 33 psi yet will run when it’s basically “jumped off” by the drill.
