I'm looking at getting into riding again and was looking for some suggestions by other Kawasaki riders as to what type of bike I should be getting. When I was younger I used to ride at my family's cabin every summer but have not ridden for a few years now. I'm looking at getting a used bike to take camping and riding local trails and logging roads etc. I'm about 215-220lbs and can handle my own physically. (a jumpy bike doesn't worry me too much)

I really like the KX250 and have found some early 2000's for good prices. Just wondering if you would suggest going up to the 450 for my size or will a 250 be plenty of power? Any benefit of going to the 250F? I'm not too mechanically inclined but have some family member with bikes that would be willing to teach/help me out with basic maintenance.
