I'm looking to purchase a rear caliper for my 1994 KX 250 as it's currently non existent. The closest I can find is coming off of a 1994 KX 125. Are these the same caliper? If not, what are my other options in regards to finding a caliper? Thanks in advance for any input!

 

The assembly is the same as the KLX650 from 93-96 in the U.S. Maybe more years in other countries. But you likely can find a used KLX650 unit. You could go to the ADVrider forum, in Thumpers in the KLX650 riders UNITE thread and ask for one.

That is the problem - they list the caliper AND carrier. The caliper may have been used on dozens of bikes, but the carrier maybe on one or two.

The brake pads are shown being used by numerous older model Kaws, so those calipers may work. Check here at Partzilla It shows that KX125 caliper using the same brake pads, so it's worth a try. I doubt you should spend over $20 on a used caliper.
