I am going to upgrade all the electric controls on the handlebars of my 2023 KLX300 with compact units. So, since the stock throttle assembly has Run/Stop and Starter switches built in, I want to change the throttle assembly. I will also need new throttle cables. My thoughts are that a KLX300R would work, but that is a guess. I also wonder if a KX250 assembly might work, whether stock or after market like the Pro Motion.
Any thoughts on a throttle assembly and cables that will work?

 

From what I see, the 2006 KLX250 had a separate throttle and switch set, 2009 has them combined. So if you got the 2006-2008 right hand switch set and whatever throttle you want. I don't know if there are any neat small switch sets though.

I will say good luck on getting anything from Motion Pro. I'm trying to get a throttle cable custom made for a TM36-68 Mikuni on my bike, takes a longer cable. Two emails and a phone call with a message left and nothing for over a week with the former and about a week on the latter. Apparently they don't answer emails nor messages. So I'm probably going to make my own cable. Wouldn't be the first time. Not much of a good impression of Motion Pro.
