So i picked up a 2007 KLX 300 and the guy said he put a 250 carb on it, but turns out it wasn't the right one. Im not looking for crazy speed just a reliable carb that will get me from A-B. Id take something thats as close to stock as I can get. And I would just buy a stock one but they are about $400 and at that point I might as well go with the pumper carb that everyone seems to like.

Any advice?

 

Keep an eye on ebay and you should find one for a fraction of new. Are the 250 and 300 carbs the same? I think so, but not sure.

 

Well, you can put the same jetting in the 250 carb and it is a 34mm CV carb, so the odds are really good it is the same CV34. I'd say around 99-44/100% chance they're the same.

this being an old thread i was wondering how this ended up? I have a used carb off my 300r and a 2nd used carb i bought of ebay (paid too much) both just sitting on the shelf.. I swaped to the mukuni
