2005 KLX 125 Question
Hi all -
I'm brand new to this forum and look forward to learning alot here.
I have a problem with my 2005 KLX 125 and I'm hoping someone has a solution.
My KLX has a very thin and slippery kick start lever/pedal. So thin and slippery in fact that almost every time I kick start my bike, my foot flys off it and my shin hits the foot peg causing me to see stars!!! Is there a rubber sleeve that I can slip over the kick pedal that would make the kick start pedal thicker and allow some real grip?
Please tell me someone has the answer Thanks in advance for any suggestions. I'd prefer not to wrap the existing pedal with grippy tape but if there's no other option, I guess I'll have no choice.
Thanks guys!

Welcome to KF.
I don't know of anything specially made for your bike, but I can see trying a few things. First, I'd film my kicks, or somehow observe them, to see if technique needs adjustment.
Why not wrap it in grippy tape? It comes off easily if you don't like it.
Look for some kind of rubber hose that will just slip over the kicker and zip or wire tie it on. It will wear out. Be creative and try a few different things. And be ready to replace it a few times. Focus on technique and practice. I kind of like the grip tape for a first attempt. Maybe hockey stick tape? How about marine grade heat shrink tube (I use this as buttons on the ends of my cut-short levers)?
Let us know what you try.
